In this course, students will have the opportunity to analyze the
central text of the Christian tradition—the New Testament—to gain
critical knowledge of the historical context from which it arose and
to consider the important issues facing the earliest Christians.
Texts will include the whole of the New Testament as well as other
works from antiquity which illuminate it. Grades will be averaged
from one paper, one mid-term, and a final.
