Philosophy | Introduction to Ethics
P140 | 3812 | Rings
Ethics is the branch of philosophy that deals with questions like:
"What ought I to do to be a moral person?" "What is a moral life?"
"Are there objective rights and wrongs about how to live or is all
morality simply relative to a culture or an individual?"
In this introduction to ethical theory of the Western philosophical
tradition we'll study what thinkers like Aristotle, Mill, and Kant
had to say about these matters, how contemporary thinkers have
challenged these classical theories, and how ethical theory in
general may be put into action and applied to current moral issues.
