Sociology | Introduction to Sociology
S100 | 4098 | Wolfe

What shapes our behavior, thoughts, and emotions? Although a
seemingly simple question, it has been repeatedly asked and
investigated by a multitude of scientific fields. While many of these
fields focus their investigation on biological or psychological
traits, sociology stresses the importance of social contexts in
influencing every aspect of our lives. The goal of this course is to
help you develop a general understanding of sociology by learning and
applying sociological perspectives, theories, and concepts to
readings, movies, and your own experiences. In doing so, you will be
exposed to a new way of seeing and understanding human existence and
even your own life.
