This course is designed to 1) familiarize students with Indiana folk
groups, folklore genres and the methods of collecting, interpreting,
and analyzing traditional arts and cultural expressions,  and 3)
Students will learn the analytical concepts and approaches that
folklorists employ to study material cultural and oral traditions.
By the end of this course, students will be able to collect,
research, and analyze traditions in Indiana.
