Religious Studies | Religions of Asia (formerly R153)
R153 | 10003 | G. Goble

The above course carries AH, CSA distribution for the College of
Arts and Sciences.

This six-week course covers three major Asian religious traditions:
Hinduism, Buddhism, and Daoism. Other relevant Asian traditions will
be covered in passing and as relevant. Emphasis on these three Asian
religious traditions will allow us to consider the origins,
developments, practices, and philosophical perspectives of those
individual traditions in detail. We will also explore meaningful
comparative analyses of these traditions and consider elements
arising from their interaction and historical development.
