CLASS MEETING:
Four 75 minute periods per week (Monday thru Thursday)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
E102 Aerobic Dance is a total fitness class which emphasizes
cardiorespiratory
fitness, flexibility, muscular endurance, and coordination through
rhythmical
movement. In general, class begins with 5-10 minute warm-up, 25-30 minutes
of
aerobics, followed by a toning and cool-down segment to complete the class.
Some days the class will do step aerobics, fitness walks or a full class of
toning
and conditioning to vary the workout.
ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Since this is a S/F class focusing on fitness, class participation is the
primary
means of evaluation and is essential. Three unexcused absences are allowed.
Upon a fourth absence, the student has three options: 1) receive a grade of
F; 2) officially withdraw from the course; 3) follow an appeal procedure
through the instructor and/or the
Elective Program Coordinator.
