Meets one 75 minute period daily

Superior Performance. Gerald W. Scully (1995). The Market Structure of
Sport.
Students will also receive a course packet.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Study of the sport industry with an emphasis on developing an understanding
of
how firms within the sport industry create a competitive advantage.
Industry
analysis is stressed. Sport industry segments studied include the
following:
Professional baseball, football, and basketball, as well as, golf clubs,
tennis clubs,
ski resorts, health clubs and intercollegiate sport.
GRADES:
Student grades will be based upon five (5) case studies and one exam.
