Course format: Daily lectures: 9:30A-10:20A, JH 239.
Requirements: Recommended - Two semesters of college chemistry. Students
must also enroll in Biol M315 concurrently.
Course description: An introduction to the techniques and biological
principles used to identify and study microorganisms. In addition, the
significance of microorganisms to humans and the environment will be
combined.
Required text: Jensen, et al., fourth edition "Microbiology for the Health
Sciences".
Weekly Assignments: Recommended readings from textbook.
Exams/papers: Weekly quizzes (75%); final exam (25%).
