AHLA P: F101. Foundation in basic technical and formal methods of traditional and
contemporary sculpture. Use of tools and equipment for additive and subtractive techniques
include wood construction, steel fabrication, clay modeling, plaster mold making and cold
casting, and assemblage. Emphasis place on technical execution, conceptualization, and creative
problem solving. Students registered for Fine Arts courses who do not attend the first class
meeting or contact the instructor, may lose place in course to electronically waitlisted students.
Students interested in closed Fine Arts courses must add themselves to the electronic waitlist and
either attend the class or contact the instructor. Priority for admittance into the course will be
given to students who have made the effort to attend and/or contact the instructor.
