Introduction to Computer Cartography provides an introduction both to
the craft of mapmaking and to the computer techniques used in
contemporary map development. The course is divided into two parts.
During the first, lectures and activities familiarize students with
the basic principles of effective cartography; during the second part,
students hone these mapmaking skills by developing and executing
individualized cartographic projects.
