COURSE PREREQUISITES:
Ability to swim
CLASS MEETING:
One lecture at beginning of course. One three hour lab per week arranged.
First meeting will be
on Monday, June 19th, 2000 at 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., HPER, Room 019.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Beginning instruction in the principles of sailing. Rigging proper sailing
technique, and other
features of small craft sailing.

EXAMS:
Take home final
12 hours of sailing
GRADING PROCEDURES:
Graded on S/F basis only
ATTENDANCE:
Students are allowed a maximum of 3 absences. Upon a fourth absence a
student has three (3)
options: 1) receive a grade of F; 2) officially withdraw from the class; 3)
follow an appeal
procedure through your instructor and/or the Elective Program Coordinator.
