COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to present an introducation to administrative theory
as it relates to sport delivery systems. First, a macro understanding of
organizational structure and its effects on administrative efficiency will
be developed. Second, aspects of managerial function and human behavior in
organizations, such as communication, leadership, negotiation, motivation
and decision-making will be addressed. Finally, the foregoing theoretical
material will be applied to the specific managerial components of sport
delivery organizations.
