Course format: Four-hour laboratory (11:30A-3:15P, MW, JH 447 and
11:30A-3:15P, TR, JH 447. Note: the TR section will remain closed
until the MW fills), integral discussions.
Requirements: Biol. M250 concurrently.
Course description: A conventional laboratory of exercises,
demonstration, and discussions. The goal is to achieve proficiency
in the principles and techniques necessary for the manipulation of
microorganisms under aseptic conditions.
Required text: Benson’s Microbiology Applications.
Weekly assignments: Read lab exercise (15 minutes). Do lab exercise
(three hours).
Exams/papers: Two exams; four lab practicals.
