This is an introduction to theories about the relationship between
the international political and economic systems. Lectures and
readings will deal with the concepts used in research on
international political economy (IPE).  Among the topics discussed
in class we will pay particular interest to globalization,
international financial integration and “North-South” issues.
Grades for the course will be based on the midterm (20%), a paper
(35%), a final examination (30%) and class participation and
attendance (15%).
