Linguistics | Introduction to Linguistic Analysis

This course is an introduction to the basic techniques used to
discover, describe, and explain the structure of language. Using
illustrative problems from English and a variety of other languages,
core analytic and theoretical concepts in phonetics, phonology,
morphology, and syntax will be presented. The development of skills
in both practical linguistic problem-solving and scientific
argumentation will be emphasized.
