Christianity is immensely influential in the lives of many of its
adherents today.  Yet, the simplicity of the preceeding
sentence is belied by the fact that there are so many different
types of Christians and Christian denominations.
In this class, we will explore some of the key questions that
Christians have faced for nearly 2,000 years, such as who is Jesus?
What is meant by “Savior”? What is the appropriate way to worship?
What is the proper or ideal Christian behavior? To help see how
these questions have been answered by different Christians, we shall
study the thoughts/beliefs and actions of Christians from the past,
gaining a historical perspective, and we will investigate some of
the ways Christianity interacts in the world today.
