COURSE DESCRIPTION: The focus of this course is on how to plan
appropriate learning experiences for all young children (birth
through age 8). We will examine what developmentally appropriate
practices mean for children with special needs, and how to design
curricula to meet the needs of individual children. The course will
be a combination of class discussions, learning activities, in-class
group projects, and guest speakers. This is a distance education
course taught through two-way audio/video connection among IU-
Bloomington, IU- Indianapolis, and the University of Southern
Indiana in Evansville.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Cary Buzzelli currently is a Professor of Early
Childhood Education at the IUB campus. He has been a preschool
teacher and supervisor of student teachers. He joined the IUB
faculty in 1993 and since that time has taught courses in early
childhood education.

Intended for: Preschool teachers, Head Start teachers, Early
Interventionists, Primary teachers (K-Grade 3).
