This is an introductory course designed to familiarize students with
the criminal justice system as a whole by examining the individual
components and how they relate to one another.  This class will take
students through discussions on the police, courts, corrections, and
how criminal acts become labeled as criminal.  Along the way
students will learn the history of each component of the criminal
justice system and the various issues that pertain to their
operation.  The overall goal of the class is to present students
with a basic understanding of how the criminal justice system
functions and the issues that confront the many people that the
system has an effect on.

Class meeting: Daily, 9:30-10:20
