This course is designed to enable students to converse about simple social topics, meet basic
needs, and read and write simple texts.   Students also get some information about Hungarian
culture and history.  The second half of the course is designed to improve the reading,
writing, and speaking skills of the students in the Hungarian language.   Although there is a basic
language material, students will be given the possibility of studying Hungarian sources (xeroxed
texts and other textbooks) in order that other approaches and/or other methods be part
of their experience in studying Hungarian.

Exams: quizzes, midterm and final exam.
