education research and their implications for teaching and learning at all
levels (k-12 and college).  Depending upon class interest, two genres will
be explored in greater depth: 1) ethnic identity development, and 2) "funds
of knowledge" inquiry as a basis for culturally relevant pedagogy. Class
participants will complete an individual or small group project according to
their personal interests and goals.   This intensive class is scheduled from
July 12-28 and will meet three times per week to allow time for class
preparation and conferences outside of class.  For further information
