what developmentally appropriate practices mean for children with special
needs, and how to design curricula to meet the needs of individual children.
The course will be a combination of class discussions, hands-on learning
activities, and in-class group projects. This 3 credit hour course is part
of the curriculum for teachers seeking the Indiana certification in Early
Childhood Special Education. The course will be offered over the distance
education network. It will originate in Bloomington and be sent to IUPUI,
IU Southeast, IU Kokomo, IU East, and the University of Southern Indiana in
Evansville area. It will be offered as a workshop daily from June 28
through July 9 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Students may register at their local
