This course will be organized around issues of aesthetics, avant-gardism,
and dissemination in British, American, and Anglophone literatures of the
20th century.  Works to be read will include Hemingway's MOVEABLE FEAST,
Woolf's MRS. DALLOWAY, Rushdie's SHAME, and texts by Stein, Forster,
Conrad, Yeats, Beckett, Pinter, Joyce, Gomez-Pena, Moraga,  Fitzgerald,
Larsen, and others.
