In this course on modern American fiction we will look at issues of
modernism and postmodernity, gender, sexuality, and aesthetics through the
work of such writers as Hemingway, Stein, Faulkner, Morrison, Auster,
Pynchon and Leyner.  Course requirements include 3 papers.
