CLASS MEETING:
The class meets one 50 minute period four times a week for exercise and
activity.
The exercise sessions are self-designed according to proper principles of
exercise
physiology. Once a week the class meets for a lecture/discussion. Several
self-
evaluation and introspection assignments are given throughout the course.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Designed to help students realize the importance of healthy diet and
exercise
behaviors in permanent weight control. Behavior modification techniques are
used
to help students achieve a healthy lifestyle that will result in either a
gradual
reduction in body weight

6. Anorexia & Bulimia
7. Psychology of Weight Control
8. Quacks & Myths in the Weight Loss Industry
GRADING:
This class is taken only as S/F. You must score above 70% on the quizzes
all assignments a Satisfactory grade. Only three (3) unexcused absences are
allowed!
ATTENDANCE:
Students are allowed a maximum of three (3) absences. Upon a fourth absence
a
student has three (3) options: 1) receive a grade of F; 2) officially
withdraw from the class;
3. follow an appeal procedure through your instructor and the Elective
Program Coordinator.
