Indiana University is participating in a Pew Charitable Trust research university consortium—along with the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Kansas State University, Texas A&M University, and the University of Michigan—to pilot a system for peer review of course portfolios among its faculty. Participants will test the idea and practice of assembling and evaluating rich documentation of teaching. Peers in the home institution or elsewhere examining the course portfolios will be able to provide important evaluative comments about a faculty member's teaching performance.
