Little 500

2013 DG team

LITTLE 500 RIDERS AND COACHES -- Two riders of DG's most recent winning teams have come back to coach this year's team. Included are Alumna Coach Emily Loebig, Rookie Madison Borgmann, Student Coach Paige Babb, Rookie Katie Ziegler, Rookie Maggie Angelo, Second-year team member Madison Stacey, Rookie Kristen Bignal, and Alumna Coach Kelsey Phillips.

The Little 500 is the premier intramural collegiate cycling event in the nation. Steeped in tradition and high on enthusiasm, this race and the surrounding weekend activities have earned the reputation of being the best of its kind anywhere in the world. Teams of four ride laps around a quarter-mile cinder track and exchange their bike to a teammate once too tired to continue. The race places fraternities and sororities, residence halls and independent teams in a battle for the ultimate bragging rights of Little 500 winner.

Delta Gamma qualified 11th for the 2014 race. See for qualifications results and for last year's race results.

The chapter has competed in 23 of 24 races; finished in the top ten 19 times; and averaged placing 7.17. The first-place all-time team is Kappa Alpha Theta; the second-place team is Kappa Kappa Gamma; and DG is third.
