Panel conversation on supporting international student success to be held Apr. 13

The IU Office of First-Year Experience Programs is pleased to announce the panel for "Conversations on First-Year Student Success" event on international students to be held this Fri., Apr. 13, from 3-4pm in the IMU State Room West.

Panelists include:

  • Rendy Schrader, Director, International Student & Scholar Advising, Office of International Services
  • Marlin Howard, Director, Intensive English Program, Department of Second Language Studies
  • Mark Goodner, Director of OVPUE Undergraduate Programs, Initiatives, and Training, Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
  • Cynthia Smith, Senior Lecturer & Director of C121 Public Speaking, Department of Communications and Culture

This program provides a forum for faculty and staff to discuss major issues impacting the success of first-year students within the IU community and presents tools for effectively cultivating the success of the students. The panel will specifically address ways to support international students who are struggling with language barriers. Please register for the panel conversation via at www.surveymonkey.com/s/LLDJ9NW. To optimize interaction between attendees there will be a maximum number of forty attendees at the session.
