Call for Applications 2011-2012 Latino Studies Dissertation Year Fellowship APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 15, 2011 The Latino Studies Program is accepting applications for a Dissertation Year Fellowship for 2011-12. ĘThe fellowship includes a stipend of $18,000 and does not include a fee remission. The award will enable a doctoral candidate to engage in focused work leading to the completion of a Ph.D. dissertation. During the fellowship year, the awardee is expected to devote full time to dissertation work and to participate in scholarly activities of the Latino Studies Program. To be eligible, applicants must be taking their doctoral degree within the IU College of Arts & Sciences and must be formally advanced to candidacy by July 31, 2011. Preference will be given to projects which enrich knowledge about Latino populations in the United States and/or the Western Hemisphere. Application forms are available at www.indiana.edu/~latino. Application materials include: curriculum vitae, transcripts, dissertation prospectus, and two letters of recommendation (one of which must be from the dissertation advisor).
