First-Year Experience Conference call for proposals

Submission deadline: February 29, 2012


The 2012 IU Bloomington First-Year Experience Conference Committee is pleased to announce this year's conference theme: "The Indiana Promise: Supporting an Ethical and Civil Community." The Indiana Promise is an integral part of the first-year student experience at Indiana University. During the annual Freshman Induction Ceremony each student promises that: "I will be ethical in my academic work. I will take responsibility for what I say and what I do. I will respect the dignity of others, treating them with civility and understanding."

Proposals for breakout session presentations are being accepted now. Please submit your proposal information to: www.surveymonkey.com/s/2012FYEConfProp by Wed., Feb. 29, 2012, for consideration at this year's conference.

First-Year Experience Conference:
"The Indiana Promise: Supporting an Ethical and Civil Community"
When: Mon., Mar. 26, 2012, from 8am-4pm
Where: Indiana Memorial Union.
