Who Are Asian Pacific Americans? Luncheon Talk Series presents "The Secrets of the Gangnam Style"

Fri., Nov. 2, 2012
12noon to 1pm
Asian Culture Center Lounge
(807 E. 10th St., Bloomington, IN)

Lunch is on us! At this informal roundtable lunch discussion, we will be talking about Korean pop-star Psy's hit single, "Gangnam Style," in relation to pop culture and entertainment arts. Why have there been so few Asian/Asian Pacific American artists in the mainstream popular music scene? What is the secret of Psy's "Gangnam Style"? Do we like it because it's a catchy dance tune, or because it cuts at the heart of some cosmopolitan pretenses? For more info, e-mail acc@indiana.edu.
