IU students serve as mentors for Spring Shadow Program During spring semester the Office of Community and School Partnerships seeks IU students to serve as mentors for its Spring Shadow Program. The program was developed to give high school students a realistic college experience while classes are in session to better prepare them for the rigors of college life. Participants will join their mentors, attending classes, staying in campus residence halls, participating in various activities, and interacting with university students and staff members. Hudson & Holland Scholar accepted to medical school at Cornell

Aaron Slinker, a Hudson & Holland Scholar recently featured in the Office of Scholarships Spotlight has been accepted to Cornell's medical school–one of the top-tier medical schools in the US. He will begin in Fall 2010.

When Aaron was asked why he belongs at IU, he responded: Not only have I been able to receive a great education at this university, I have also been able to participate in many volunteer activities, participate in a summer research program at IU medical school, hear from several well-known speakers, and participate in the university's great intramural sports program. There aren't many dull moments at IU, and that's the way I like it.
