2009 NOBCChE (National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers) Indianapolis Biotechnology Conference

The 2009 NOBCChE (National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers) Indianapolis Biotechnology Conference will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 16 and 17, 2009.

Undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students are invited to submit abstracts for participation in the poster session. Monetary awards ($1000, $500, $250, $150, and $100) will be given to the top five presenters. The deadline for abstract submission is September 18, 2009. Further details regarding the conference, including abstract submission information, can be found at: www.nobccheindianapolis.org/. Travel awards are available in the amount of $400.

The conference is sponsored by Eli Lilly and represents an excellent opportunity for students to network with science and engineering professionals in the biotechnology/life science/pharmaceutical industry.

Faculty and science professionals are also invited to attend the meeting. The technical program will feature presentations on the topics of bio-processing, bio-fermentation, and biological/chemical pathways.
