Outraged Ad Competition

Submission deadline: March 1, 2012

The IU Student Policy Issues committee is seeking creative and impactful ad submissions to raise awareness of oppression and discrimination on the topics of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, and other marginalized social groups here at Indiana University and the Bloomington community.

Ads should be eye catching and visually appealing. They should bring attention to some form of oppression or discrimination. They should not be a promotion of diversity or multiculturalism only, as the theme at large is "Outraged." The ads can be as creative as you like, but should contain some aesthetic elements such as photographs or graphic design. Ads can be in either black and white, gray scale, or full color. Prizes may include a kindle, basketball, auditorium tickets, or gift certificates to the Tudor Room.

All submissions are subject to be used for future projects within the Commission on Multicultural Understanding. Please let us know in your submission if you do not wish to make these public. This will not affect your standing in the competition.

There is no limit to how many ads you can submit, but if you submit more than one ad, your submissions will be grouped and judged as one.

Ads are to be submitted electronically and saved in the form of a picture (jpeg, bit, png, gif, etc.) or pdf document. No Microsoft extensions will be accepted (doc, ppt, etc.).

The deadline for submission is March 1, 2012. Send ads via e-mail to comu@indiana.edu
