John & Peggy Woodcock photo exhibit in support of Japanese relief efforts

Photos of contemporary Japan will be featured in a benefit show at Bloomington Bagel Company's Dunn Street store during the month of May. Photographers John and Peggy Woodcock, who have children and grandchildren in Japan, decided to turn their show into a benefit for Japanese victims of the March earthquake and tsunami. The entire proceeds of photo sales will go to the Disaster Relief Network in Hokkaido, which has been supplying meals to displaced victims from the beginning.

All are welcome to attend the opening reception on Thursday, May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments, including Japanese sushi rolls, will be served. Bloomington Bagel Company's usual offerings will also be available for purchase.

The Woodcocks exhibit their photos regularly in local and regional shows, including the Bloomington Photographic Club's juried show at the IU School of Fine Arts Gallery.
