LGSA Preppin' for the Profession Workshop: Publishing Preppin' for the Profession workshop will continue Tuesday, February 1, at 7pm at La Casa. Dr. John Nieto-Phillips–Associate Professor of History, Latino Studies, and American Studies and director of the Latino Studies program–will be the guest lecturer/facilitator. How's that publications section of your CV looking these days? Ever heard the phrase, "publish or perish"? As the Associate Editor of the Journal of American History for the past four years, Dr. Nieto-Phillips will lead a discussion on publishing–how to produce good work and get it out there. With the daunting reality of the ever increasing importance of publications in job placement, promotion, etc., this is a workshop you won't want to miss.
