Won-Joon Yoon Scholarship
Description and Guidelines
The Won-Joon Yoon Scholarship competition is sponsored by the Indiana University Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs. Two scholarships of up to $1,500 each will be awarded to students whose academic, professional, and personal accomplishments and goals exhibit tolerance, understanding, and commitment to service.
Eligibility: Applicants may be students from any discipline or department on the Bloomington campus and must be enrolled as full-time students and continuing as students in the Spring 2016 semester. US citizenship is not required.
Review Criteria: Evaluators will consider academic achievement as well as professional and personal involvement in service organizations and support as indicated by letters of recommendation. All applications will be screened by a selection committee comprised of IU faculty and staff.
Application Components and Submission Instructions
There are four components to the application. Applicants must complete the first three components, combine them into one document and submit via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Application form.
- Transcript. Provide a PDF copy of an unofficial IU transcript from OneStart.
- Resume. Include post-secondary institutions and degrees obtained; work and volunteer experience; and involvement in other extracurricular activities. Two pages maximum. Convert to a PDF file and include with application.
- Recommendations. Submit two recommendations electronically. At least one recommendation must be from an Indiana University faculty member. Graduate students will not be considered as faculty members. Download recommendation form.
