Nature, 377: 414-417. You may alos take a look at varved lake records in Switzerland, e.g., Lotter, A.F., Eicher, U., Birks, H.J.B., and Siegenthaler, U. 1992. J. Quaternary Science, 7: 187-204; etc.; and in Germany, e.g., ones by Hajdas and Lotter et al. Look into the references fron there. Hope this helps.
