Connections

Indiana University is home to world-class design programs and educators encompassing a range of academic disciplines.Yet until now, we hadn’t considered how we could harness this design expertise, link our commonalities and establish connections to create new educational opportunities for students.

The Design Studies Initiative at Indiana University convenes the Bloomington campus’ design programs and educators.Through the Initiative, undergraduate and graduate students can capitalize on the academic offerings of multiple schools and departments, and transcend traditional educational boundaries by interacting with professors, students and industry professionals from outside their field of study who share their passion for design and how it impacts our world.

This interaction…this collaboration…creates connections that promote new 360° perspectives and user experiences.
