The Department of Second Language Studies at Indiana University offers several different programs for English language development.
- The Intensive English Program (IEP)
- for pre-matriculated students with academic or professional goals
- 7-week session, 20+ hours a week of instruction, 7 levels of proficiency, no credit
- The English Language Improvement Program (ELIP)
- for matriculated students admitted into the undergraduate and graduate programs of Indiana University
- 8-week courses, 4 hours a week, 5-6 topics courses, for credit
- Preparation for International Teaching Assistants (T502)
- for students preparing to take the TEPAIC to become teaching assistants
- Special Programs
- for groups of student with specific goals
- English for specific purposes programs (i.e. Legal English)
