The role of the IUIE Advisory Committee is several fold:
The commitee will meet next in May, 2003. For information regarding previous meetings go here.
IUIE stands for the Indiana University Information Environment and is a web-based enterprise-wide reporting environment. The IUIE will replace the Information Center on the mainframe. It will also be the central place to go to find data from various application areas which are not currently represented in the Information Center.
Queries can be executed from either the Master Catalog or My Catalog and tailored to meet individual business needs. The Master Catalog contains a list of all the Report Objects that have been published by Information Providers. My Catalog is the recommended place to store and to access frequently used Report Objects.
From any web browser, go to https://onestart.iu.edu/iuie.
Bookmark this link or add it to the Favorites menu to return to the IUIE at any time.
Request an account by clicking on the Registration link on the IUIE menu.
Once the IUIE Registration Form loads, fill it out and submit the form.
Once an account is processed, an account confirmation will be sent via email that includes information about the password. Log-in access to IUIE is granted immediately but access to the data will not take place until the next business day.
IUIE offers a central location where staff, faculty and even students can access for all their reporting needs. It's easy to use and offers powerful tools for reporting. It takes only minutes to publish new report objects and to make them available to either a small or a large audience depending on the data access rules. The application leverages the Data Warehouse user access in place.
The report objects in IUIE are created by developers from various application areas and are based on what the customers in the departments need. To publish Report Objects in the IUIE, or to publish links to existing reporting web sites, please contact the IUIE Help Desk by using the Feedback button in the upper-right corner of the IUIE.
