Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica)

Native perennial of wet prairies, wet meadows. and wet woodlands

Partial sun to light shade, moist to wet soil (plant in low, wet areas)

Blooms blue, July - October

Grows 1 - 4 ft.

Faunal Associations:

    • Bumblebees
    • Hummingbirds
    • Butterflies
    • Halictid bees

Fun Fact: Named because of the 18th century belief that it cured syphilis
