Native perennial sedge of wet woodlands, margins of ponds, streams, lakes, swamps, and wet prairies
Partly shaded and moderately damp conditions (plant in low, wet areas)
Spikelets are green or yellowish-brown, June - October
Grows 1 -2 ft.
