Archaeological survey team that conducted field inspections at the Buys Vegetation Management Program (VMP) project on December 11, 2006. This is a CAL FIRE controlled-burn project near New Hogan Reservoir in Calaveras County. The crew examined an extensive (30+acres) prehistoric chert quarry site and developed modification to proposed activities (bulldozer cuts) to protect the site from harm.
