Placement and Proficiency Exams « EALC Language Programs

Chinese - Testing for placement and proficiency for all students

The Chinese placement and proficiency test will next be given before the beginning of classes in Spring 2010 semester:

Thursday, January 7th, 2:00 p.m.
Ballantine Hall, Room 146

Note:
Registration is not required
Bring a photo ID and a pencil to the test

If you need to take the Chinese test prior to January 2010, please contact Professor Julia Luo to see about arranging an alternate test time.

Japanese - Testing for placement and proficiency

The Japanese placement and proficiency test will next be given before the beginning of classes in Spring 2010 semester:

Thursday, January 7th, 2:00 p.m.

Note:
Registration is not required
Bring a photo ID and a pencil to the test

If you need to take the Japanese test prior to January 2010, please contact Professor Keiko Kuriyama to see about arranging an alternate test time.

Note: New undergraduate and transfer students needing Japanese testing will be tested during new and transfer student orientation. Please see your orientation advisor for details.

Korean

 
Proficiency Testing:

If you are already fluent in Korean, or are a native speaker, and want to have your proficiency certified, please click here to fill out the online registration form for the proficiency test which will be given again during Spring semester 2010. As soon as the date is set, registered students will be sent that information.

Placement testing:

The Korean placement test will next be given before the beginning of classes in Spring 2010 semester:
