Instructors:

Dr. Dennis Hart is an Associate Professor of Political Science and the co-coordinator of the Asian Studies program at Kent State University. His area of expertise is modern Korean national identity, politics, and culture. His Ph.D. is from the University of Washington, Seattle and he has participated in the NCTA program for one year.

Dr. Young Rae Oum is an independent scholar, writer, and translator. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and has taught at Seoul National University, The College of Holy Cross, and Clark University. She is currently completing her second dissertation, which is on Korean American Diaspora, and working on several translation projects.
