Title: Why Have Some Schools Not Experienced Decrease in the Percentage of Students Majoring in Economics?

Abstract: Schools that offer an economics minor or incorporate more economics electives in their economics programs appear to have been a less risk than those that do not. Economics departments that did not face competitions from a business program at the same institution also may have been at more risk of losing majors than those that had to compete with a business program.
