Title: Making and Correcting Errors in Economic Analyses: An Examination of Videotapes

Abstract: In earlier work Strober and Cook showed how videotapes can be used to examine the types of errors that novice students in economics made in a graphical analysis of a simple supply-demand problem. Students learn quickly in groups that they do not understand graphs. This work replicates the earlier findings, improves the framework for analyzing errors, and examines some methods used to correct errors.
