Title: An Evaluation of the Introduction of Collaborative Problem-solving for Learning Economics

Abstract: An evaluation of a package of measures designed to introduce a collaborative, problem-solving (CPS) approach to learning into the tutorials of a second year university macroeconomics subject. The evaluation compares a trial group (311 students) with a control group (301 students), both drawn from students at the one university enrolled in the same subject. Both students and tutors were found to react positively to the CPS approach.
