HOW TO SUBMIT TO THE ONLINE SECTION:
The primary goal of the Online section of the Journal of Economic Education is to identify exemplary material for teaching and learning economics that is interactive or otherwise not conducive to traditional printed-page format. It provides a timely outlet for noncommercial work by economists and educators who are creating teaching materials using innovative electronic technology.
Those submitting material to be reviewed in the Online section must provide a potentially publishable descriptive note of at most 300 words, and provide the information identified at the end of this statement. The note must describe how the submitted site extends the pedagogical and/or technological frontiers and contributes to teaching and learning economics. Notes describing material at sites that are reviewed positively will be published in the JEE and on the JEE Web site with links to the site.
Your 300 word note is possibly the most important thing you submit; it provides the impetus for the referees, and for potential JEE readers, to access and spend time at your site. We recommend that notes be prepared in a dedicated word processor and then pasted into the textbox provided on the following submission form. Many wordprocessing conveniences such as the Tab key for paragraph indenting may not work in the textbox. Put a blank line between paragraphs. Regardless of your method of preparation, do not use any mathematical symbols or graphical entries. Do not repeat the URL for your site in the 300 word note because it will appear automatically under the title.
The authors submitting material must describe where to access the site, provide all access codes (if relevant), and describe how the material can be used in teaching. Material at the site must be available for a complete online editorial review of the technology employed. The JEE refereeing process for the Online section emphasizes the integrity of the technology, but obvious errors of economics or other major content problems will disqualify the material for publication.
Authors receiving the imprimatur of the JEE must agree to maintain their finished sites for nine months following publication of their descriptive note on the JEE Web site. After nine months, notes and associated links will be moved from the "current online" section of the JEE Web site to the "archive" section. The author must agree that any files to be downloaded are free from viruses and will not corrupt files on users computers. The author also must agree that information about those who visit the site or download materials will not be made available to anyone other than the author.
Anyone submitting a site to the JEE must have legal authority to do so; that is, the site must be under their institutional direction or ownership.
In providing the following information, I agree to the above conditions for review and possible publication of my work.
