The Journal of Economic Education is a cooperative effort of the National Council on Economic Education (previously called the Joint Council on Economic Education), the American Economic Association's Committee on Economic Education, and Heldref Publications, a division of the nonprofit Helen Dwight Reid Education Foundation. The Helen Dwight Reid Education Foundation is devoted to advancing a select group of journals devoted to education. Heldref Publications is the division of the Reid Foundation that is responsible for fulfilling this mission. The NCEE assigned the JEE copyright and publishing responsibility to Heldref Publications in 1981, but the NCEE continues to maintain control of editorial policy.
